SpoKizomba is a colorful retreat for Kizomba lovers taking place in Spokane, Washington from August 15–17, 2025.

• Hands-on workshops with instructor Ashby Laine focused on Kizomba technique, musicality, and embodiment.
• Three social dances (two in the evening and one during the day) featuring Kizomba, Semba, Zouk, Ghetto Zouk, and more, with music by DJ Kalcidony and DJ Mario.
• Optional group lodging and afterparties at the Catterson House with all the vibes less than a 7 minute walk from venue, dining, and drinks.
SpoKizomba is small by design, so it stays personal and facilitates real connection. Whether you’re new to Kizomba or have been putting down roots in this scene for a while now, we’re certain this will be a weekend well spent. Come on over—the fam’s all here!

Where can I stay?
We have arranged lodging at the awesome Catterson House in the Browne's Addition neighborhood, a 7-minute walk from the venue and a 5-minute walk from coffee, food, and drinks. If you want the full retreat feel, staying with the fam is a great way to stay close to the action, minimize driving, and reduce feelings of FOMO 😉. Our fundraising efforts this year will allow us to offer this epic lodging at a STEEP discount to you (we want you to stay with us!).
What's included in my pass?
Your pass includes all workshops, socials, and afterparties. Lodging is sold separately if you’d like to stay with us. We’ll also include a few thoughtful extras to make the weekend feel special.
What's the event schedule like?
You’ll dance, you’ll learn, and you’ll rest. We’ve built in time between workshops and socials for meals, downtime, and connection so you won’t feel rushed or burnt out.
A full schedule will be shared closer to the event. For now, plan for an early evening start on Friday evening and a wrap late afternoon on Sunday.
